About Keeping Keys NFP

Our name Keeping Keys says exactly who we are. We will strive to show members of the community that with the proper knowledge and skill set, becoming a homeowner can be done with the right information, support and guidance. We want people to acquire and keep their own keys to a new home as well as the keys that may open new doors to a brighter future. We invest time and knowledge into communities so they can continue to grow and spread empowerment.

Keeping Keys, NFP is a non- profit organization that is focused on community preservation and helping people acquire and maintain affordable housing. We create and implement programs that assist with empowering families in low-income communities. We provide opportunities to home ownership by offering quality housing as well as providing structed educational services that will allow our team to grow and teach others the fundamentals and benefits of home ownership and affordable housing. Keeping Keys NFP  also offers job training for those who are interested in receiving hands-on experiences.

Our ultimate goal is to maintain and continuously improve the Chicagoland and surrounding neighborhoods with the combined efforts from community members, local officials, charitable donations and educational services. We believe that if a person is given the right tools and knowledge when it comes to home ownership and maintenance, they will take more personal pride in where they live and the communities in which they work.

KEEPING KEYS NEIGHBORHOOD BEAUTIFATION- GIVING BACK

Another important aspect of our organization is our neighborhood beautification projects. Once we enter a community, we try to spread the growth by encouraging and establishing programs and offering assistance that will continue to beautify the neighborhood both inside and out. We understand that not all new home owners can afford to live in the most pristine neighborhoods nor can they afford all the necessities to properly maintain the of their home. With this in mind we have created programs like:

Community Beautification

New Home buyer assistance (for qualified buyers)

• Offering small household items as welcome gifts
• Cleaning services
• Yard care services
• Pest Control services
• And continuing to grow
